Alex Afari

Great size and has been a big cornerback throughout his high school career but could easily transitition to safety and some think maybe even an outside linebacker in time. We project him more as a big defensive back. Physical and does a great job of coming up and supporting the run or blowing up short passes. Shows good transition and fluidity for a big guy and can get out of his backpedal and come forward to break on the ball. When asked to be closer to the line of scrimmage, that is not a problem for him. Has played special teams and offense and has shown good ball skills. Staying as a big corner in college is not out of the question, but safer projection based on size and growth potential is safety but he looks like an impact guy with the tools to compete early.
