Benjamin Alefaio

Alefaio plays corner at the HS level but is being recruited primarily as a safety. You can call him a hybrid and he’s a player you can line up just about anywhere in the secondary. We’ve seen him match up one on one with some of the state’s top receivers over the last couple of years and he has been able to take them out of the game. He’s one of the most physical defensive backs in the region. He’s a big hitter who can jar the ball loose in run support but also shows the athleticism to turn and run with a receiver down the field. He’s rangy and tough and projects as that modern day safety who can play in the box but also line up across a receiver or tight end and never have to leave the field. He has a high compete level and projects as a high Power 4 prospect who should be able to contribute early at the college level.
