Owns the requisite size and build expected of a safety projection. Verified length is unknown, but solidly built with some room to add a bit more mass. Possesses a strong athletic profile that features verified speed in combine testing and track environments. Ran a 10.70 100 as a freshman and a sub-4.50 40 between junior and senior years. Speed shows the most in linear closing speed. Pursues the ball well thanks to functional athleticism. Ball production gradually improved over high school career, but ball skills can still get better. Not a natural hands plucker, but does compete at the catch point. Raw from a technique standpoint in coverage. Can also improve pursuit angles and instinctiveness vs. the run. Data points respective to speed are outstanding, but limited, and there is room to more consistently display that top-end speed on the field. Projects to the high-major level as a high-ceiling safety prospect with clear physical traits that provide plenty of upside. May need some seasoning initially, but the long-term trajectory looks very good. Possibly a multi-year impact starter with tools that could lead beyond college.
