Reminds Us Of

Darius Leonard Indianapolis Colts

Has above average stature and a naturally thick build through his lower body and core with room to add muscle mass in his top half. Tests as a good athlete for the position and is particularly strong when it comes to short area change of direction. A natural and fluid athlete with high level coordination. Doubles as an above-the-rim basketball player. Stars on both sides of the ball for his high school team as a wide receiver and edge linebacker. One of the very best high school football players in the Atlantic east. Makes big plays all over the field in all three phases, even scoring as a punt returner. Twitchy, physical and instinctive as a linebacker. Highly disruptive off the edge with his ability to consistently beat offensive linemen off the line and then finish the play in the backfield, often emphatically. Has unique ball skills and his natural fluidity and play-making ability shows up on offense. Is good enough on that side of the ball to be a tight end at the next level if he wanted. Adjusts in mid-air and high-points the ball like a wide receiver. Could play as a true off-ball linebacker or grow into an edge rusher at the next level. Will need to assimilate to a position full-time once in college, which may add to a transition period but points to a higher upside once fully committed. Projects as an impact player and all-league performer at the college level with the upside of developing into an early round draft pick.
