H.S. Scouting Report
Evaluated 07/29/2023
Versatile football player with very good functional athleticism and a multi-sport athletic background (basketball, track). Extensive experience in a variety of offensive roles, including running back, receiver, and quarterback. Also a well-seasoned return game option.
Savvy speed-changer. Displays impressive linear acceleration and enough top-end speed to hit the long ball. Good burst out of stops and redirection. Shows an above average feel for pressing blocks considering less-than-full-time running back snaps.
Capable of moving around the formation from the backfield to multiple receiver spots. Dangerous jet / fly option. Fairly stout, compact build that could lend to running back in the long run, despite relatively smaller listed size (unverified). Top-end field speed looks at least as fast as early-career track times suggest (wind-legal 11.15, wind-aided 10.91).
Varied duties have likely lowered the ceiling on productivity, but would ideally see production increase as a senior. Larger sample sizes in on-field touches and in track data would help paint a more complete picture. Will need to show more run-finishing conviction if designated as a running back. Can get bounce-happy out of the backfield.
Intriguing, gadget-friendly offensive weapon who could become a full-time running back or receiver, depending on preference / scheme. Could immediately provide return reps. Projects as a Power Five talent who could become a dangerous playmaker with a long-term ceiling beyond college.
