Rare physical specimen with the athleticism to be weaponized as a game-wrecker up front. Spent much of prep career operating out of a two-point stance, but was also deployed at times as an inside linebacker. Size hasn’t been third party verified in a few years, but looked almost like an NFL player during practices for the Under Armour All-America Game with a chiseled frame that’s believed to be hovering somewhere around 6-foot-5, 250 pounds. Has displayed the ability to win with both speed and power out on the edge. Bends better than most his size and can find leverage while attacking the corner. Suddenness constantly shows up on tape. So does his burst as he’s quick to close, and then finish on quarterbacks. Needs to get better with the hands, but has the brute strength to disengage. Could also improve overall pad level and get better at holding his ground. Should be viewed as one of the top edge players in the 2024 cycle. Can disappear here and there during stretches of play, but tends to come up big in key moments. Projects as a multi-year impact player at the Power Five level with the clay to be molded into an early-round NFL Draft pick. Likely to get strong consideration as a designated pass rusher, but could also be utilized in a variety of different roles depending on how the body matures as he can hang a little bit in coverage. Might be able to earn a spot in the rotation as a freshman with his build.
