A big-time talent with length who plays fast and makes plays all over the field. Has verified measurements with plenty of room for frame development and could easily play at 240 pounds at the college level. Ran in the 4.5s in the 40-yard dash and was in the 4.2s in the shuttle at South Carolina’s camp in June. Impacts the game at all three phases at the high school level and shows athleticism in lining up at receiver and tight end on offense. Twitched athlete who accelerates well and closes well on the ball carrier. Shows body control to tackle in space. Blitzes off edge and demonstrates an ability to dip his shoulder and rip simultaneously to get around the offensive tackle and into the backfield. Shows willingness and desire to chase a play down from behind. Has the speed to line up at outside linebacker and chase a play to the opposite side of the field. A fluid athlete who likes to deliver the big hit but will not risk a missed tackle to do so. Is sound with assignments and understands leverage and flow of the play. Is willing to do anything to help the team win, including play on special teams. Pure athletic ability and body control shines when high-pointing a ball as a receiver. Can stack-and-shed but has to continue to refine the technique of it. Needs to continue to increase upper body strength to consistently handle the physical nature of playing in the box at a high Power 5 level, particularly when it comes to getting off blocks. Has to show he can consistently step in and plug a gap against the run. Is a high-level prospect capable of playing early at a Top 20 program.
