George Johnson III

Johnson is just below the average height and weight for the wide receiver position. He is a leaner bodied kid, but is well built in the upper body. He has been a versatile high school player who played receiver and quarterback. Elusive, makes defenders miss in the open field and has good burst through creases. Long speed (4.55 forty) is good, but not elite. Will run hard and put his head down and deliver contact. Has not fully concentrated on receiver yet, so he still has learning to do as a route-runner, but his natural athleticism and ball skills show up at the position. Has enough size and skills to play in the slot or outside. May not be a high-end measureables prospect, but combination of playmaking knack, competitiveness and toughness give him a chance to be an impact player in college.
