Harmon arrived in Lexington as a walk-on wide receiver but he moved to cornerback in his first preseason camp in 2012 and made an immediate impact in the Wildcat secondary with a team-high two interceptions as a freshman. Academic issues forced Harmon to miss the 2013 season, but he returned to the field in a reserve corner role in 2014 and received a scholarship before the season. Harmon experienced an up-and-down season as a third-year sophomore, starring at times on UK's special teams but also drawing criticism from Mark Stoops for his role in a special teams meltdown late in the season vs. Georgia.
