Scouting Report

Evaluated 04/22/2024

Hudson Standish
Hudson Standish 247Sports National Analyst

A bigger-framed offensive tackle prospect with a lean build estimated around 6-foot-8, 275 pounds with ample bulking capacity. Mammoth frame immediately catches the eye, but separates himself from some of the other massive tackle prospects in his class with his surprising short-area quickness and fluidity. Quick out of his stance in pass protection and generally plays with good leverage relative to naturally higher center of gravity. Flashes more point-of-attack power and drive-blocking strength than you might expect of a lean tackle prospect at this stage. Will finish blocks and gets nasty at times when engaged. Must continue adding mass to maximize strength and anchoring ability vs. bigger, stronger competition in college, but his track and field throws data including a 44-11.5 personal best in the shot put offer some encouraging multi-sport context in that department. High-caliber offensive tackle with the traits at this stage of the evaluation process to stick on the left side. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter for a Power Four program with NFL Draft upside.

H.S. Athletic Background

All-State, All-District and All-Conference selection as a junior. Also competes in track and field (shot put, discus).
Posted a sophomore shot put best of 44-11.25.

Sources Tell Us

“Obviously you see the frame and measurables everybody loves. On top of the measureables, he’s got that bend, fast-twitch, feet and hips, and he has those intangibles. He’s a big body but can get into a low position and fit, and be physical, explosive and fast. He still has some growing to do but he’s only a 13-game starter at the varsity level entering his senior season, so it’s pretty exciting.” - Eureka head coach Jacob Sumner
