Jack Nelson

Tall, lean and big-framed. Has gained significant mass from his sophomore to junior seasons and still has plenty of room for continued growth. Has little to no bad weight on his frame at over 270 pounds. Looks to be among the better athletes at offensive tackle in the 2020 cycle. Has outstanding change of direction and short area quickness. Plays with a desirable combination of technique, flexibility, second level movement and functional strength. Doesn't play against the strongest competition, but pushes around overmatched defensive linemen like you'd expect from a high end prospect. While he primarily functions as a run blocker but shows impressive reactive quickness in his pass set. Will need to continue filling out his frame and have to adjust to the considerable uptick in competition for the next level, but possesses one of the higher physical ceilings we've seen from 2020 offensive tackles. Projects as a multi-year starter at offensive tackle at the Power 5 level with the upside of developing into an all-conference player and early round NFL Draft pick.
