Reminds Us Of

Quinton Dial Green Bay Packers

Long-limbed with a big frame that should continue filling out once he gets in a college level strength program. His stature and length are on the high end for defensive line prospects. Carries his weight well at a relatively thin-looking 277 pounds and should tack on a good amount of muscle and bulk. Given his room for physical growth, it's likely he ends up north of 300 pounds at the next level. Tests as a solid athlete along the defensive line with good quickness and change of direction. Looks to be coordinated and moves fluidly. Could play a few different positions at the next level depending on the scheme- as a big defensive end in a three man front or as an interior tackle in a four man alignment. Cowan is his best when using his length and size to set the edge against the run. He can also create some disruption from the interior as a pass rusher and shows nice flexibility in those situations. More of a steady player than one who will blow you away as a flashy edge rusher. Doesn't face top competition on a weekly basis playing in a private school league. Projects as a Power 5 starter with the upside of developing into a NFL Draft pick.
