Jaden Robinson

A hard hitter that has been utilized mostly as a box safety and slot defender on Friday nights, but figures to transition into more of an off-ball linebacker role at the next level. Measured in at roughly 6-foot-1, 225 pounds the spring before senior season. Already thick throughout the torso, but has room to keep filling out once lifting in a developmental group. Has see-ball, get-ball tendencies and isn’t afraid to throw his weight around, which is encouraging for someone that’s going to be tasked with making stops inside the hashes. Must, however, get better with his angles and learn how to fight through blockers instead of simply trying to navigate around them. Also needs to improve overall tackling technique. Owns some valuable experience in pass coverage and has picked off three passes for a storied Lake City Columbia program on Fridays, but likely going to have more success in zone coverage than man coverage on Saturdays. Tested favorably on the camp circuit as an underclassman with a laser-timed 4.7 40-yard dash and a laser-timed 4.5 short shuttle to his credit, but needs to get a little more explosive in the lower half if he wants to reach his full potential. Should be viewed as someone that can eventually secure a spot in the two-deep after some coaching and seasoning. Only going to become more valuable for the college of his choice if he can learn how to consistently get home on a blitz.
