Reminds Us Of

Carlton Davis Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Promising size and length. Should be able to play at 190 pounds or more. A physical corner that cut his teeth covering future Power 5 wide receivers under the lights in Miami-Dade County. Smooth backpedal allows him to stay balanced in reverse. Experienced in press coverage often times looking to jam a wide receiver and disrupt timing. Does a nice job of mirroring routes downs the field. Uses long arms to shrink passing lanes. Coordinated in the lower half. Will plant his feet and drive towards the ball fighting through hands to make a play. Quiet personality, but flips a switch once in pads. Limited verified testing data, but moves well having grown up running track. Also a member of his school’s varsity basketball team. Willing to make a hit and provide run support out on the boundary. Must, however, clean up the tackling next level. Also has to keep developing coverage techniques. Made an impact on offense and defense playing in the Sunshine State’s highest classification as a junior and senior. Projects as a multi-year starter for a Power 5 program with the potential there to be a first-round NFL Draft pick. Could contribute early on in college career with the right mindset given measurements and athletic traits.
