Joe Otting

True guard prospect who plays there in high school and is a dominant player for his team. Mauler who finishes his blocks and plays to the whistle. Plays with very good leverage and pad level and shows the bend to gain those leverage advantages. Has all-around athleticism and has competed in track and field, basketball and been productive on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive film shows some agility and range that is not as apparent on the offensive clips. Still has room to add weight. Needs to do that and add strength in the weight room. Appears to be more versed in run blocking right now, but has the athleticism to be a great pass protector once he gets more reps there. Play style and varied athletic background make him very projectable as a multi-year Power Five starter with a strong chance to hear his name called in the NFL Draft one day.
