Power-5 StarterWell built prospect with good verified height and weight for the position. Already has a good start on filling in his big frame. Shows good balance and coordination. Comfortable making blocks in space and on the move and keeps his feet when drive blocking. Moves defenders easily at this point and plays hard. Shows good moments of burst and twitch, but can be more consistent with getting out of his stance with explosiveness. Is a good prospect with good tools, but needs to just keep getting strength and agility up to an even higher level. We project him more to right tackle but other positions are possible. Should be a good, reliable Power 5 starter.

John Young is a 6-6, 280-pound Offensive Tackle from Louisville, KY. He was named second team All-State by the Associated Press after the 2018 season. He was named first team All-State by MaxPreps in 2019. Young was named to the Metro Louisville All-Area team and was nominated as a finalist for the Louisville Player of the Year by the Courier-Journal in 2019. He was named first team All State by USA TODAY as well.
