Projection

4-7 Round Day 3

Intelligent second-level defender that became the voice of IMG Academy’s defense after transfering into the FBS factory back in the summer of 2020. Body already looks college ready, which makes sense seeing as how he measured just over 6-foot-2, 225 pounds the spring before his senior season. At his best when he’s simply coming down hill and in chase mode as he’s quick to read and react. More importantly, puts himself in position to make stops on Friday nights more times than not. Might not be one that gets distracted by all the pre-snap eye candy, but can get caught overrunning things. However, should continue to improve gap discipline once working under the direction of a college coach and is likely to only get better at fighting off blockers. Questions have arisen throughout the process about his three-down capabilities, and while he might not flip his hips like a safety, he has tested reasonably well for his age and size (owns a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash to go along with a 4.3 in the short shuttle and a 7.4 in the three-cone drill). Should be viewed as one of the top inside linebacker prospects in the 2023 recruiting cycle given what he has put on tape while facing elite competition every other week. Could be deployed in a 3-4 or 4-3 system and should be able to offer some value as a pass rusher as he’s found success as both a delayed blitzer and a straight up edge player. Legit NFL upside.

H.S. Athletic Background

2020: Transferred into Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy ahead of sophomore season and found instant success as he was named to the MaxPreps Sophomore All-America Team.

2019: Started as a freshman at Fredericksburg (Va.) where he made 93 tackles, with 19 of those coming for a loss.
