Projection

4-7 Round Day 3

Reminds Us Of

Isaiah Pola-Mao USC Trojans

Outstanding height with elite frame potential for a defensive back. Projected to safety with experience at multiple spots in the secondary. Ample frame space should allow significant bulking if desired. Real chance of growing into an off-ball linebacker. Flashes impressive closing speed and overall pursuit ability. Long-levered and disruptive at the catch point. Displays encouraging ball skills with tons of playmaking potential in the back seven. Possesses terrific athletic profile that includes explosive finishing ability at the rim on the hardwood. Track times include 11.67 100 and 23.53 200 and suggest room for top-end improvement, but participation encouraging nonetheless. A strong functional athlete in general. Relatively newer to football so development ceiling should be high. Generally a solid tackler who can get better in technique consistency, but packs some pop. Long strider who builds speed and can improve fluidity to maximize redirecting ability. Naturally high center of gravity affects backpedal and coverage technique. Should be able to get creative with him in college as a safety who can play nickel or even boundary corner, though potential as an off-ball linebacker is especially intriguing. Tools-laden back-seven prospect who could become multi-year high-major starter with long-term NFL Draft potential.
