Reminds Us Of

Trey Dean Florida Gators

A longer defensive back prospect with a multi-sport background. Measured roughly 6-foot-1, 175 pounds with 32-inch arms at check-in for the All-American Bowl. Made plays in all three phases of the game throughout prep career, but projects as a deep safety or boundary corner at the next level. Excels at flowing down hill and towards the football. Understands how to play angles and has proven to be a solid face-up tackler that can wrangle larger players to the ground. Junior footage from his time at IMG Academy is much more promising than what he put on tape as a senior at Blountstown, which could be a byproduct of an offseason knee injury. Better in zone coverage than he is in man coverage at this stage, but not afraid to break on a ball. Likely will need a year or two of strength training to get the body right before he’s ready to go on Saturdays. Could add plenty of value on special teams with his frame.

H.S. Athletic Background

Year-round athlete that also plays basketball and baseball and competes in track and field events.
State qualifier as a sophomore in both the 100-meter dash and the high jump. Owns personal-bests of 11.01 in the 100, 22.82 in the 200 and 6-2 in the HJ.
Averaged 5.0 ppg and 4.2 rpg midway through junior season on the hardwood.

2022: Transferred into IMG Academy where he appeared in a handful of games before returning to Blountstown. Helped the Tigers post a 9-5 record and make the state semifinals.
