Reminds Us Of

Blake Martinez Pittsburgh Steelers

Strong kid with a thick upper body and a well-muscled frame. Very aggressive player who has a nice edge to his game and loves contact. A true in-the-box inside linebacker who can take on a block, stand them up and stuff the run. Has good sideline to sideline range and is sure tackler in space. Can improve in coverage and will need to maintain his flexibility and fluidity to reach his full ceiling. Played quarterback the last two years. While we like how the position shows off his versatility, we think his game as a linebacker will take a big jump when he can devote all of his time to solely playing defense. A very smart player with good instincts and a tough kid as well who is far from peaking. Should be a very productive college player. Projects as an upper tier Power 5 starter and future high-round NFL draft pick.
