2014 (So. at Virginia Tech): Played in six games, making three starts… Logged 202 plays at receiver… Was limited by injury, but saw action on 16 plays at receiver, catching a 12-yard pass in the opener against William & Mary… Caught two passes for 14 yards in the win at Ohio State… Caught two passes for 14 yards against East Carolina… Took a personal leave following the ECU game… Returned to action against Miami… Caught a 15-yard pass against Boston College… Caught a 14-yard pass in the win at Duke.

2013 (RFr. at Virginia Tech): An honorable mention freshman All-American by College Football News… Played in all 13 games, making 11 starts… Was in on 707 plays at receiver and one on special teams… Caught 40 passes for 640 yards and a touchdown… Both are Tech freshman records… Made first career start against Alabama, catching a 16-yard pass… Caught four passes for 46 yards against Western Carolina… Grabbed three pass for 26 yards at East Carolina… Caught four passes for 43 yards in the triple overtime win over Marshall… Had a pair of receptions to total 32 yards at Georgia Tech… Caught three passes for 59 yards in the win over North Carolina… Finished the Pittsburgh game with 35 yards on two catches… Caught two passes for 27 yards against Duke… Logged his first 100-plus yard game with 117 yards on six receptions at Boston College… Made it back-to-back 100-plus yard games, catching seven passes for 107 yards in the win at Miami… Named ACC co-Receiver of the Week for his play at Miami… Caught two passes for 29 yards against Maryland… Caught a 15-yard pass in the win over Virginia… Recorded three catches in the Sun Bowl against UCLA for 34 yards… Earned the George Preas Award as the most valuable performer of spring practice for the offense.

2012 (Fr. at Virginia Tech): Caught one pass for six yards while in on 11 offensive plays in collegiate debut against Austin Peay… Suffered a knee injury and missed the rest of the season… Was granted a medical hardship waiver… Caught seven passes for 106 yards during three spring scrimmages… Had a 57-yard reception in the spring game and finished with three catches for 86 yards.

High School: As a senior, caught 56 passes for 1,018 yards for Coach Michael Carson at Martin Luther King High… Had 12 touchdowns, 11 receiving and one on a return… A first-team Group 2AAAAA all-region selection… Played his senior year at Martin Luther King High after transferring from Duluth High… Ranked as the No. 52 wide receiver in the country, the No. 173 player in his region and the No. 39 player in the state by ESPN Recruiting Nation… Ranked as the No. 193 wide receiver in the country by Scout… Ranked as the No. 280 wide receiver in the country and the No. 138 player in his state by 247Sports.

Personal: Son of Michael and June Stanford… Has an older brother… Obtained a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in human development with a concentration in professional helping skills.
