Ready-made high-major running back given physical traits and functional athleticism. Very polished back in multiple capacities. Knows when to risk his body as a run finisher and when to take it out of bounds. Natural upright gait but shows awareness to lower pad level and shrink target when anticipating contact. Excellent vision and patience. Consistently allows blocks to materialize. Consequently displays advanced speed-changing acumen. Particularly explosive out of cuts. Virtually leaps laterally and leaves defenders flat-footed. Elusive in the hole, especially relative to size. Flashes impressive cut-stacking athleticism in the open field. Limited pass-catching opportunities entering senior season but appears to be getting more touches in the passing game in 2023. Often plays in a two-back set and asserts himself as a blocker. Stiff-arm power translates to block-finishing conviction. Checks the multi-sport box with an encouraging sophomore-year 11.18 100. Shows corresponding top-end speed. Plenty fast, but probably can squeeze more juice from the top gear. Possibly close to maxed out physically. Still can use more reps in the passing game. Already one of the top backs in Texas entering senior year, but potentially could be one of the top backs in the country in his class. Projects to the high-major level with the possibility to immediately contribute and attributes that project beyond college.
