A second-level defender that has a knack for creating negative plays. Size hasn’t been third-party verified, but in-person evaluation at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas suggests that he’s hovering somewhere around 5-foot-11, 195 pounds. Excels at flowing downhill and making stops in the backfield as he has the burst to close gaps and the grip strength to drag ball carriers to the ground. Wasn’t asked to drop back a ton into coverage at the prep level, but flashed some lateral quickness as a running back on offense, which suggests that he should be able to hang in some man-to-man situations on Saturdays. Projects as a low safety that can patrol the alley and provide plenty of run support. Brash play style likely to have him featured on plenty of special teams units, and likely early on in collegiate career. Owns multi-year Power Five-starter upside with all-conference potential. Should undergo a physical transformation once lifting in a college weight room.
