Big QB with good height and frame potential. Looks every bit of listed size. Flashes impressive vertical arm strength that manifests when he can set and fire and when forced to throw on the move. Shows impressive off-script ability. Looks to run first but rushing numbers as a junior speak to scrambling and designed efficacy. Displays better-than-expected wiggle in space as he's able to string together open-field moves to maximize runs. Above-average tester for a QB per sophomore numbers (4.89 40, 4.45 shuttle). State title winner with big production as a junior. Impressed at Elite 11 Finals in Summer 2020. Velocity consistency has improved in senior season. Generates a fastball in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Often victimized by drops but completion percentages as a junior and senior are a concern. Can improve footwork consistency. Has technical room to improve and should do so with a strong tool set for the QB position. Projects to the high-major level with multi-year starter potential and an NFL Draft ceiling.
