Projection

Power 4 Starter

Owns the requisite height with good length and an athletic build. Space is there to add mass in college as desired. A bit high-cut but typically plays with good pad level. Has the look of an off-ball linebacker with the reach and edge burst of a pass rusher. Likely fits multiple roles in varying personnel packages. Functionally athletic in most situations. Flashes impressive closing speed when he diagnoses quickly and decides to attack. Capable of chase-down playmaking from the back side. More of a downhill player to this point, but physical tools and movement ability suggest potential if asked to develop coverage skills. Typically a solid tackler, and while gaining strength will be key vs. the run in college, usually arrives at the ball with purpose. Long-armed and could develop into dangerous blitzer or situational edge rusher. Very limited sample size. Only three varsity games through junior season. Played JV as a sophomore because of transfer ineligibility. Suffered a season-ending injury (collarbone) in the third game of his junior year. Simply needs more reps. Hesitant at times and needs to trust his great physical tools and athleticism more often. Athleticism lacks verified context in testing or track form. Quite intriguing linebacker prospect given physical tools and functional athleticism seen in limited action. Projects to the high-major level and should have a high developmental ceiling.
