Nick Broeker

Went from a lean kid when he first started being recruited to filling out a lot more leading into his senior year. More developed in the lower body right now. That shows up in the way he plays. He is an excellent drive blocker whose leg strength allows him to move defenders and finish blocks. In pass protection, he has athleticism but needs to be stronger with his punch and he has not had many reps against top-level edge rushers. He is a very good athlete though, as evidenced by what he has done on the basketball court the last two years. When asked to make blocks in space, he can do that, and even moonlighted as a tight end and made plays on defense. He has to do some developmental work in the weight room and on his technique, but he has a high ceiling. He can play guard or tackle in college, and although he will likely need a redshirt year, he can be a multi-year starter at the Power 5 level.
