Nolan Smith

A muscular, twitched-up athlete with enough length for the edge but better suited as a pass rush linebacker than a true hand-down defensive end. One of the more explosive pass rushers in the 2019 class with impressive combine testing numbers to back up that claim. Speed, quickness, ability to bend the edge are elite but can flash surprising strength and power while playing with leverage. Has shown a willingness to be more than just a speed rusher and exhibits coachability in camp settings. Doesn’t have ideal length. He has not operated in space much, so it is an unknown how he would adapt. Impact upper tier Power 5 starter and No. 1 NFL Draft pick upside.
