Has a big upside with his size, ability to bend and the strides he made between the end of his sophomore season and the spring. Possesses verified size and a wing span approaching 84 inches to go with hands measuring more than 11 inches and carries his weight well, although a bit of re-shaping will take place after arriving at a college program. Lower body strength stands out. Lines up mostly at left tackle but there are times he moves to right tackle in strong side formations. Able to bend well and despite size can explode up and into the defensive player. Light on his feet and moves well, which is no easy feat at his size. Heavy-handed and initial punch is forceful and violent. There is a physical element to his run blocking. At the high school level, easily pushes defenders back on initial contact. Often knocks smaller defenders back several yards when he fires off at the snap in the run game. Consistent in sinking hips and remaining engaged in run blocking while driving his legs. Hand placement is consistent and he is quick to get inside with them. Switches between two- and three-point stances in the run and pass game. Not asked to scrape and get to the second level often, but his athleticism and quickness shows when he is in space. Can get out and lead on screens. Increasing stamina is important in development. Survives in pass blocking because of his length and strength. Developing a kick step and sliding his feet is important for when he faces speed off the edge at the college level. Technique is much further along as a run blocker compared to pass pro. Continuing to develop upper body strength is a must for him to be able to compete at a high level in college. Made huge strides during his junior season and there remains significant room to reach his ceiling. Can be a cornerstone left tackle for multiple years at a high-level college program but could begin his career as a right tackle. Has early-round NFL draft potential because of his physical talent and his frame.
