Comparison

Jaylen Smith Louisville Cardinals

Built almost like a running back given frame and bulk. Listed at 210 pounds, but could easily get up to around 225 pounds once lifting in a college strength program. A plus athlete with some foot speed given build. Spent much of junior season working as a receiver, but also took some carries out of the backfield and got snaps on the other side of the ball as a linebacker. Has creative vision that allows him to set up broken tackles. Excels at making cuts and changing directions. Can track the ball down the field, but that’s not exactly a strength. Must get better at running routes and creating separation if he’s going to strictly be a wide receiver at the next level. Also could improve his release. One of the more unique recruits in the Sunshine State this cycle given position versatility and athletic background. Figures to be an all-purpose weapon in a spread offense that’s able to impact the game in a number of different ways. Some college coaches see NFL potential as a defender.
