Ryan Mack

A technically-sound defensive back that not only had a strong senior season, but also a favorable showing during practices for the Under Armour All-America Game where he held his own while matched up with some of the nation’s top pass catchers. Size hasn’t been third-party verified in a while, but is over 5-foot-11 and on the leaner side. Smooth in his backpedal and does a nice job of keeping his eyes on the quarterback. Has proven to be a rather heady defender that will put himself in position to make plays. Worked primarily as an outside corner his final two years at the prep level, helping St. Thomas Aquinas capture a pair of state titles. Likely to get a look out on the perimeter at the next level with his ball skills and straight-line speed, but could also be deployed as a safety given his prowess as an open-field tackler. Might need some time before he’s ready to go on Saturdays, but has tools to mold and could very well emerge as a multi-year starter for a Power Five contender.
