A former four-star recruit, Ryan Timmons was one of three freshman wide receivers forced into action in the 2013 season. He finished his freshman season ranking second on the team in catches (32), receiving yards (338) and touchdown catches (two). Timmons started six of 12 game as a freshman and quickly assumed the role of Patrick Towles' favorite receiver early in the 2014 season with 10 catches for 95 yards in the second game of the season. He led Kentucky in receptions (45) and receiving yards (536) as a sophomore but faced criticism for several key drops late in close games and lost his starting spot toward the end of the season.
