Power-5 StarterBig-framed QB who's pass-first but functionally athletic enough to hurt defenses with his legs. Unverified listed size but looks the part on the hoof. Size and strength generate ample vertical arm strength/ Has uncorked deep balls 60-plus yards in live action. Senior season has shown noticeably improved short-to-intermediate velocity, as well as better off-schedule playmaking ability. Generates impressive zip even when on the run and/or throwing across his body. Still can improve his release quickness. Footwork is inconsistent and affects consistency in accuracy. Can be erratic at times as a result. Takes chances on occasion when trusting arm strength and velocity too much. Improvement from junior to senior year is encouraging. Will arrive in college having faced outstanding high school competition with plenty of live reps. FBS-caliber QB with Power Five upside and potential to become an intriguing dual-threat playmaker in the right situation.
