Projection

Power 4 Starter

A new-age linebacker that started his prep career off as a safety before eventually moving closer to the line of scrimmage. Size is unverified, but believed to be hovering right around 6-foot-1.5, 215 pounds heading into senior season. The type of defender that has a knack for just making plays, and at key moments, whether that be an interception on third down or a forced fumble when opponents are driving. Lined up primarily as an inside ‘backer in a 4-3 front as a junior at Miami Killian and spent most Friday nights simply crashing the A and B gaps. Will need to eventually improve tackling technique, and must learn how to take down college-sized ball carriers, but has a bit of a mean streak to him, and isn’t afraid to lower the shoulder pads and deliver a blow. Tends to freelance, but has flashed the ability to read and diagnose, which is promising. Film study, however, will likely be huge at the next level as that will allow him to anticipate what might happen pre-snap. Should be viewed as a front-seven defender with some three-down capabilities given defensive back background and speed profile (posted an impressive 11.24 in the 100-meter dash as an 11th grader before transferring into Miami Central). Figures to settle in as a Mike on Saturdays, but has some position ambiguity to him and could even emerge as a Jack in a 3-4 look should he add some pass rushing moves to the tool belt.

H.S. Athletic Background

Also does track and field (sprints, throwing events) ... A district qualifier in both the shot put and discus 11th grade year. Also posted a 11.24 in the 100-meter dash March of 2022.

2022: Transferred into Miami Central ahead of senior season.

2021: As a junior, earned some all-state recognition. According to MaxPreps, totaled 131 tackles (24 for loss), 4 sacks, 2 INT, 2 FF and 2 FR for a Miami Killian team that went 12-3 and won a district title in Florida’s 5A classification ... Played safety in the offseason for the Miami Immortals on the 7-on-7 circuit.
