Projection
Power-5 StarterA big-framed pass rusher with plenty of upside that projects as a 3 or 4i in a four-man front. Grew up playing lacrosse before finding football. Has gotten snaps on both sides of the ball throughout prep career, but was viewed from the jump by most college recruiters as a full-time defender at the next level. Measured just over 6-foot-6 summer before senior season. Uses that length to his advantage as he will long arm opposing offensive linemen and work his way into the backfield. Plays quick and excels in backside pursuit, oftentimes making stops a gap or two over. Struggles at times to anchor, which likely has to do with the fact that he’s on the lighter side. Should, however, get up to 280 pounds or more once eating at a college training table. Will need a few years to further develop his technique and adjust to the physicality of Power 5 football, but has a chance to emerge as a multi-year contributor and potential impact player on Saturdays. Ability to play different spots along the line should be viewed as a plus.
