Brauntae Johnson

Very good athlete who was a standout on the basketball court in high school and was also a productive wide receiver. Length, athleticism and ball skills all translate well to the defensive side of the ball. Has shown in a camp setting that he can cover man to man. Currently, he does that mostly on talent, although his technique is developing. As he gets more polished, he is going to be a difference maker at the college level. More likely to be a roamer of a free safety but offers the possibility of coming down and playing some man. Has to show what he can do as a tackler still as that is a part of his game that we have not gotten a full evaluation on yet. But given his upside and still how new he is in his development on defense, he has the ceiling of a high-impact college player and NFL Draft pick.
