High-energy pass rusher that offers some position flexibility up front. Turned heads in a best-on-best setting at Under Armour’s Future 50 event spring before junior season, but had his 11th-grade campaign cut short due to a lower body injury. At his best when attacking the corner from a two-point stance as his heavy hands and quick feet can put opposing tackles in compromising positions. Displays favorable block recognition at this stage and understands how to find leverage while maintaining gap integrity. Ceiling might be highest as an edge defender given how he creates pressure, but has some experience operating out of a three-point stance and could very well settle in as more of an interior option after a year or two in a college weight room as he’s already believed to be hovering around 6-foot-3, 245 pounds. Must keep progressing, but should be viewed as a future impact player at the Power Five level given the combination of his explosive tendencies and growth potential. Could crack the rotation early on at the next level as a subpackage rusher if there are no lingering health issues.
