H.S. Scouting Report

Evaluated 01/06/2024

Andrew Ivins
Andrew Ivins Director of Scouting

A rocked-up power back that owns one of the more impressive size/speed combinations in the class, having posted multiple sub 11-second efforts in the 100-meter dash at over 215 pounds. At his best when he’s working as a downhill runner as he uses his forward momentum to plow through defenders. Faster than he is quick at this stage, but has flashed some short-area agility while working between the tackles. Needs to get a little more decisive when it comes to picking his lane as he likely isn’t going to have as much time to get going on Saturdays, and it won’t be as easy to just bounce things outside. Still, took over games while facing a lower level of competition in the Sunshine State and averaged 7.1 yards per carry. Should be viewed as a possible short-yardage specialist that can add plenty of value in pass protection given his muscular build. Likely will need a year or two before he’s ready to go, but still looks to have plenty of growth potential as he's younger for his grade.
