Projection
Power-5 StarterA potential impact player at the tight end position that took a major step forward between junior and senior seasons, which isn’t surprising after lacrosse occupied much of his youth. Measured north of 6-foot-5, 225 pounds midway through 11th-grade year. Lacks meat on the bones, but will have a chance to add plenty of mass once lifting in a college weight room. At first glance appears to be more of a flex or move option, but tape suggests that he can be a full-time, in-line player at the Power Five level if given a chance to develop as he’s a spirited blocker that seeks out work. When it comes to being a pass catcher, isn’t exactly the most fluid of route runners, but understands how to find holes in zone coverage and can oftentimes bail quarterbacks out with his large catch radius. Not one that will shake too many defenders in the open field, but isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder pad and fight for yardage. Came up big as a senior for the same Bolles program that produced current NFL tight end Hayden Hurst, catching 30 passes for 322 yards and three touchdowns. Should be viewed as a future multi-year starter if everything comes together. Will offer some value on special teams units as an upback.
