Corin Berry

Berry is an intriguing young quarterback with a lot of physical tools that translate well to the next level. He has an athletic 6-3, 185 pound frame with a strong arm and can get the ball down the field. He has smooth throwing motion and has tightened it from what we’ve seen this off-season. He doesn’t need a big wind up or long release to make the deep outs and posts. He doesn’t run a ton in his offense but he’s a good athlete who moves well in and out of the pocket and does a nice job making a defender miss in the pocket and extending plays. He’s fully capable of running some zone read if asked to do so shows the ability to run for plus yards when flushed. The two big areas Berry needs to continue to work on and improve are accuracy and decision making and the two actually go together for him. He had a 17/21 touchdown to interception ration and his 49% completion rate as a sophomore so slowing himself down, processing the game faster and protecting the football will be big points of emphasis for him moving forward. He’s a young quarterback with two years of development to go and we like where his game is trending.
