H.S. Scouting Report

Projection
4-7 Round Day 3Slightly below average height and length, but an athletic, stout build relative to size. Big-play receiver who can line up outside or in the slot. Possesses great concentration skills and tracks the deep ball very well. Sticky-handed in general. Catches away from his frame and shows ability to pluck tough throws. Owns an outstanding athletic profile as a four-sport participant who runs track and plays basketball and baseball. Ran a 10.82 100 as a junior and earned fourth in Texas 3A in that event (10.92) and third in long jump (20-9, PR of 22-8.25). Flashes encouraging suddenness and conviction in routes. Terrific production, in volume and rate. Averaged 22.3 yards per catch as a junior. Good field speed capable of capable of consistently hitting the long ball. Somewhat limited jump-ball opportunities, but functional athleticism and competitiveness allow him to play about his size in those scenarios. Experience in the return game. Can still squeeze a bit more out of the top end of that verified track speed to foster more vertical separation. Accelerates well but initial get-off can be more consistently sudden. Will need to hone full route tree. Competition is good relative to level, but is small-school ball. Talented, productive East Texas four-sport athlete who projects to the high-major level as a receiver with consistency and playmaking punch. Profile suggests the potential to become an impact player with the ceiling to play beyond college.
