Gregory Xavier Thomas

A physically imposing defensive back prospect with a monster ceiling given how he moves for someone his size. Measured just over 6-foot-1, 190 pounds as a freshman and looks to be even bigger now. Earned a starting role as a junior at the Power Five factory that is American Heritage and found instant success, getting snaps at both cornerback and safety. Could offer some flexibility in the secondary at the next level, but has the ideal skillset for a boundary role given how he jams and mirrors. Transitions well and understands how to pass off assignments in zone coverage. Has proven to be a willing participant in run support and has created pressure on the backside blitzes. Could improve top-end speed, but is running track in the offseason, and has hawked down ball carriers from behind. Must keep progressing and avoid setbacks, but has a chance to be an impact player on Saturdays for a College Football Playoff contender.
