Miletic was one of the most pleasant surprises for me when I attended session I of the UAA last month. The big lefty wing lived up to his reputation as a shooter, showing an ability to make stationery and movement threes, as well as mid-range pull-ups when he was run off the line. What also stood out was how hard he played. He ran the floor, was the first to the floor for loose balls, and showed no aversion to contact despite just starting to fill-out his frame. More subtly, there were signs of a player who understood how to operate in offensive structure as he cut hard away from the ball and snapped passes around the perimeter.
Now, he clearly isn’t a finished product yet. He needs to keep getting strong and filling out his frame, but some of that is likely to take care of itself naturally as he keeps growing into his body. Miletic is also going to want to continue to develop his handle and ability to be a threat off the dribble. Long-term though, there were a lot of reasons for optimism given his size, shooting potential, motor, and still untapped potential.
