Reminds Us Of

Zachary Carter Cincinnati Bengals

Position- and scheme-versatile defensive lineman with requisite height and above average frame space. Not overly long but does own plus length relative to height. Athletically built with a stout base.

Plays violent at the point of combat and when arriving at the ball. Can flash startling close-quarters power, whether hand fighting an OL or striking a ball carrier. Wields a powerful inside hand, especially when aligned on the edge. Plays with good leverage and shows disengaging force vs. the run.

Testing data suggests room to develop overall athleticism; that said, good functional athlete with obvious suddenness and downhill juice. Modest production as a junior with single-digit TFL, two sacks. Increased senior year production would be encouraging. Broad pursuit range should foster more consistent playmaking impact with continued technical development, especially as move set expands.

Intriguing front-seven prospect classified at DL with traits that translate anywhere from a big edge to a more traditional one-gapping 3-technique. Projects as a high-major prospect who could become a multi-year starter and develop into a bona fide NFL Draft candidate.
