Exhibits some reactionary athleticism and quickness at the corner position. Plays with good burst to close and shows the ability to plant and drive out of breaks. Quicker than he is fast but utilizes his football instincts and awareness to his advantage as a zone corner. Primarily lined up in off coverage but understands how to take away space and utilize leverage as a defender. Demonstrates outstanding ball production and ball awareness. Forced nine takeaways as a junior with four of them being returned for touchdowns. Question long speed to play the deep part of the field but can see his skill set translating to the safety position at the next level with the ability to also play nickel. Flashes willingness and physicality as a run support defender, plus shows some ability as a situational blitzer.

Projects to a high level multi-year starter at the next level that could potentially naturally move to the safety position with his combination of range, instincts, and ball production. Smart and instinctual football player that won’t blow you away with elite testing but is a better athlete than advertised and should be able to contribute early on Saturdays in a potential special teams role.
