H.S. Scouting Report

Evaluated 12/01/2023

Andrew Ivins
Andrew Ivins Director of Scouting

A scheme-versatile defensive lineman with some growth potential and some developmental upside. Lined up in everything from a wide-9 to a 0-technique at the prep level, but should be viewed as more of an interior player as he’s younger for his grade and believed to already be hovering around 260 pounds. Totaled 19.5 sacks across his sophomore and junior seasons, but saw production dip as a senior. Makes the biggest difference with his motor as he keeps his legs pumping and is always looking to clean up the trash. Needs to improve pad level and learn how to consistently find leverage, but can win with power and a formidable punch. Projects as a multi-year contributor at the Power Five level with all-conference upside. Isn’t the most explosive point-of-attack player, but plays with plenty of effort, which counts.

H.S. Athletic Background

2023: As a senior, totaled 50 tackles, 14 QBH, and 3 sacks per MaxPreps. Helped Buchholz reach semifinals of Florida's 4S playoffs.
2022: Credited with 65 tackles (22 for loss), 12.5 sacks, 3 PBU, 2 INT (one of which was a pick-six), and 2 FF.
2021: As a sophomore, worked all over the defensive line. Totaled 14 TFL and 7 sacks.
