Reminds Us Of

Ryan Tannehill Tennessee Titans

A dynamic athlete for the quarterback position that played both defensive back and wide receiver at different points during high school career. Might not have been a freshman and sophomore starter like some of the other high-profile signal callers in the 2024 cycle, but still managed to post a 26-3 record over two seasons, winning a state title as a junior and making another deep run in the playoffs as a senior. Has continued to progress as both a passer and a field reader. Velocity is by far one of his biggest strengths at this stage in his development as he can challenge tight coverage windows and get the ball across the field on a tight line. More than comfortable operating on the move and is built for an offense that has plenty of designed quarterback runs on the call sheet given his overall toughness as a runner. Frequently gets out of trouble when the pocket breaks down and can create off-script, although there are times when he will try to do a little too much. Is far from a complete product, but has a higher ceiling given the combination of his longer frame, arm talent, and movement patterns. Likely will need a few semesters before he’s ready to push for playing time, but projects as a multi-year starter for a Top 25 program that could eventually blossom into an NFL Draft pick.
