H.S. Scouting Report

Evaluated 02/02/2024

Greg Biggins
Greg Biggins National Recruiting Analyst

Gallegos is arguably the most instinctive safety in the state and has been since his sophomore year. A coach on the field and always looks like he’s 2-3 steps ahead of everyone else. Shows range in the secondary and excellent ball skills. Big hitter as well and an excellent open field tackler. Lean frame and will need to add some bulk to compete in the rugged Big 10 but has already packed on some size since he enrolled early at USC. He’s a good athlete but can continue to improve his overall athleticism as well. Relies more on his instinct and feel to be in the right position over being able to run down plays from behind. A great leader and a player we could see being a future defensive captain down the road.
