A three-star recruit, Firios impressed in his first preseason camp at Kentucky but ultimately redshirted as a freshman. Toward the end of the 2014 season Firios was a frequent target of praise from coaches and teammates for his work on the Wildcat scout team. In 2015, Firios will be counted on to add needed depth at the inside linebacker spots.
