As a 11th grader, was a member of a Central Lyon squad that captured a Iowa 2A state title on the hardwood. Scored 19 points in the semifinals, including 9 in the fourth quarter.
Placed 5th at IHSAA/IGHSAU state meet in the 110-meter hurdles as a junior with a 15.34 effort in spikes.
