Scouting Report

Evaluated 06/09/2024

Andrew Ivins
Andrew Ivins Director of Scouting

Wiry wide receiver prospect with big-play capabilities. Missed time as a junior after hurting his knee, but impressed multiple times on the offseason camp circuit in advance of senior season, including at a loaded OT7 Finals. Breaks off defenders with dynamic cuts and has the ball skills and body control to make acrobatic, off-platform grabs. At his best when he gets a clean release and attack leverage before changing course, usually in explosive fashion. On the slender side now, but offers a larger catch radius and finds ways to not get out-muscled at the catch point. Durability could certainly be a concern given injury history, but projects as a potential multi-year starter and possible all-conference type of player at the Power Four level with his length, hands and juice as a route runner. Will likely need to add some body armor if he’s going to be deployed as an X at the next level, but skill set might be better suited for a Z role in a balanced offensive system that wants to move him around before the snap. NFL upside in an era where so many organizations want to air it out.
